Soil Preparation

To generate vegetables and fruits all starts with the soil preparation. This method that is simple requires minimal watering and helps decrease weeding.

1. Lightly sprinkle the complete grass or soil area that you want to make into a urban garden  with fresh compost. This attracts the worms to come to the surface and find all the delicious layers you put on.

2. the most important step in making your permaculture garden is to cover dirt or the grass thoroughly with newspaper ensuring that there are no ink pages.

3. Cover with cardboard and water it. Cardboard boxes are great to use for this.

Raised Garden Beds

1. Use untreated 8" x 1" or 12" x 1" wood to produce rectangular or square garden beds, no wider than an arm's length from every side to the center. This permits you to operate your garden without stepping onto the area that is developing.

2. Lay your garden boxes onto the area of cardboard, leaving width paths all out. Peg the boxes into the ground.

Filling Your Raised Garden Beds

1. Cover within the boxes using a coating of coffee grounds. This benefits veggies and fruits in a similar way too. Coffee grounds obtained from coffee shops, free can be used to improve growth.

2. Next, add any coating of compost at this point but not overly thick. Horse manure from quality stables is great because these horses have a diet that is good. Alternately, poultry or use sheep pellets manure.
